Here's what you can look forward to next week:

Friday, February 11.  Interested in Business? Check out three presentations offered by Isenberg School of Management. At 10:30 am (ISOM 112), you can hear a Marketing Seminar presented by Professor Jonathan P. O'Brien of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  At 11:00am (ISOM 128), you can you can attend a Meet the Executive lecture with UMass Isenberg alumnus Marc Schneider, Group President of Dress Furnishings at Phillips-Van Heusen. At 1:30 (ISOM 112), Isenberg doctoral student Edward Szado will speak at a Finance Seminar; he will talk about recent and future research at CISDM and INGARM -- Hedge Funds, CTAs, and beyond.

Friday, February 11, 3-4:00 or Monday, February 14, 4:30-5:30 pm or Thursday, February 17, 3:30-4:30 pm. Public Health Sciences Major Group Advising Session. If you are interested in the major or new to the major, come to a group informational session. The spring 2011 deadline for applications to the major is March 1. Saturday, February 12, 11:00 am. International Poster Session on Ecosystems, Organisms, and Innovations. The event will open with two keynote addresses, to be followed by a poster session. Stockbridge 114.

Monday, February 14, 1-2 pm or Thursday, February 17, 12-1 pm or Friday, February 18, 4-5 pm. London and Sydney Internship Info Session. These sessions are an informal chance to get all your questions answered about doing an internship abroad. You MUST attend one of these sessions if you want to participate in the program. Hills South, Room 455 (Education Abroad Advising Center).

Wednesday, February 16, 8:30 – 10:30 am. Morning Mixer. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to start their day off with a complimentary breakfast of bagels, fresh fruit, coffee, assorted juices and great conversation. Memorial Hall.

Wednesday, February 16, 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Career Connections Program: Networking Secrets from an Ex-Wallflower. Join career and business coach Val Nelson for a workshop where you'll learn the 4 secrets to networking for introverts, develop your own unique networking plan, and come away relaxed. (Ongoing) Through the end of final exams, every Wednesday through Friday at 2:30-3:30 and every Wednesday from 4:45-5:30. Domestic Exchange Information Sessions for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 Exchanges. Want to spend a semester or year at another college or university in the U.S.? Check out the list of institutions in the National Student Exchange (nse.org) and also to the University of Massachusetts Exchange Schools, which currently include UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth, and UMass Lowell. Students MUST attend an information session to apply (and will receive applications and all the information necessary to apply). The deadline is March 1st for FALL 2011 AND/OR SPRING 2012.

(ongoing) BDIC (Bachelors Degree with Individual Concentration) Information Sessions for Spring 2011.  Learn about the most unique major on campus, and receive guidance on how you can design your own major. Information sessions will be held every Monday (3pm), Tuesday (1pm), Wednesday (10am), Thursday (11am), Friday (1pm) in 608 Goodell.
