Weekly Preview: April 16 - 20

Monday, April 16 is Patriot's Day.  There are no classes.

Tuesday, April 17 will follow a Monday class schedule.

The Academic Advising Link will be closed on Sunday, April 15 and Monday, April 16.  Peer Advisors will be back at 4:00pm on Tuesday to help you with SPIRE, your Fall schedule, your ARR, majors, and much more.

On Tuesday, April 17 from 7:30pm – 9:30pm in the Student Union Ballroom, Steve Forbes will discuss his experience in business and economics, as well as his new book How Capitalism Will Save Us: Why Free People and Free Markets Are the Best Answer in Today's Economy. There will be a question-and-answer period where students and members of the community can ask Mr. Forbes questions and meet him afterwards.  This event is sponsored by the UMass Republican Club, along with the Smith College Republican Club and the Young America's Foundation.

Interested in majoring in Public Health?  Attend an information session on Tuesday, April 17 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm in Lederle Graduate Tower Room 101.  You need to bring your Academic Requirements Report (ARR) from SPIRE, your tracking sheet and your enthusiasm!

Peter DiGiammarino ’75 is a problem-solver, pioneer, seasoned leader and big-picture thinker.  Join him on Thursday, April 19, at 4:00pm in the Bernie Dallas Room, 5th Floor Goodell for his lecture Manage to Lead: Seven Truths to Help You Change the World.  He will share insights from his more than 35 years of experience developing the potential of highly successful public and private, for profit and not-for-profit ventures around the world.  This event is sponsored by the UMass Amherst Alumni Association
If you are planning on applying to Resource Economics, your online Statement of Interest is due by noon on Friday, April 20.  If you're hoping to take Fall classes that are only open to declared majors, you should complete this statement now.
